Sacred Geometry Workshop - Kohinur Hall, Upper Main Arm 9am-6pm @ Saturday 17th August 2024
Class will be held on Saturday 17th August 2024 9am - 6pm @ Kohinur Hall, Upper Main Arm, NSW.
The course will be run by Nabeel Khan, Artist & author of the recent children's book Magic Counting - a book that teaches children to see number from a symbolic, geometric perspective - as the ancients saw numbers and nature.
Geometry is at the heart of all creation, and is one of the oldest and most widely-used ancient traditions on earth, with the book of nature being written using the alphabets of 1, 2, 3,... and Triangles, Squares, Pentagons, Hexagons,....
We will delve into the deep mysteries of Sacred Geometry - 'The Art of the Ever-True'
Using the traditional tools of Compass & Straight edge, we bring our minds, hearts and hands into alignment, through the practice of drawing geometric shapes and patterns that have been drawn using these same methods for millennia - the same methods that have been used to design cathedrals, temples, pyramids, shrines & Islamic patterns, to name but a few.
We will look at the intersection of science, geometry, religion, esoteric thought and patterns across art, nature and the cosmos.
This class is ideal for anyone new to geometry or compass work and also for those that have either drawn with me before, or drawn elsewhere - all skill levels will be catered for.
Lunch and tea will be provided on the day.
